Welcome to Yo Soy Kristy!
This blog is my personal reflections about the places where faith and culture intersect in my life and ministry. I am a wife, mom, and currently a minister within the Latino community. As a Latina, I’m passionate about raising up the next generation of Christian Latino leaders who will bring more of God’s kingdom to earth. I enjoy exploring themes related to ethnic identity and leadership formation, and I have recently started pursuing (slowly) a masters in Global Leadership from Fuller Seminary. I devour books and would love to share my thoughts here as I strive to integrate my learnings with my reality. Thanks for joining me in this new beginning.

Post a commentIncredibly excited for you in this new blogging season… the fruit of which I hope and pray will be authentically rich posts chalked full of liminal wisdom and insight. I’m grateful for your courage to write Kristy, The Lord definitely uses it, and you, to reveal his depth and mysterious complexity to me. Through the process Jesus becomes infinitely more attractive.
Hey, Kristy–Sarah Quezada just recommended your blog to me, and I am so excited to start following your journey. I was wondering if you had any other Latino/a blogs to recommend for me–faith-based or not, Spanish or English. I’ve been in fellowship at a Hispanic church for a few years now, and would really love to grow my online community as well. I’d love to hear any suggestions via email if you’re able to do so. Thank you so much!
Heather,
Thanks so much for commenting and wanting to read this blog! A few Latino bloggers I read are:
Ricardo Tavarez – http://ricardotavarez.net/
Federico Gutierrez – http://randomreminders.wordpress.com/
Steve Tamayo – http://yosteve.blogspot.com/
Professor Romero – http://jesusforrevolutionaries.blogspot.com/
There are more but these are people that blog more regularly. Sarah’s blog is awesome too, but I’m sure you already know that :).
Thanks again for engaging.
Thanks for the shout out, Kristy! I’m also pretty stoked to check out this list as well. Ricardo is a friend of mine through CCDA. He’s awesome!
